Doncaster Remembers

Doncaster is set to come together to pay their respects to servicemen and women at Remembrance events across the borough this week.

Exhibitions, concerts and poppy displays will be taking place throughout the week leading up to Sunday 11 November when residents are also invited to join Remembrance Sunday Services.

Councillor Paul Wray, Armed Forces Champion, said: “I would encourage everyone to join in the events, whether they are in the town centre or their local community.

"They are an important opportunity to commemorate the servicemen and women who have sacrificed so much in the World Wars and other conflicts and of course, this year also marks the centenary of the end of the First World War.

“So please, come along and pay your respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and remember the fallen soldiers along with those who are serving today.”
