The second phase of Great Yorkshire Way which completes the direct link from the motorway network to Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) has officially opened to traffic today (Friday 15 June).
Great Yorkshire Way (formerly known as The Finningley and Rossington Regeneration Route Scheme (FARRRS) project) - has provided a new link road from the M18 at junction three to Doncaster Sheffield Airport with links into Rossington and the iPort development.
This landmark feature commemorates Great Yorkshire Way which will open soon. It was installed in time for stage one of the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire cycle race which will use phase two of the link road and pass by the feature en route to the finish in Doncaster town centre.
iPort is a £400 million inland port project and one of UK’s largest logistics developments.
