The Doncaster Safeguarding Adults Board (DSAB) offers a range of free multi-agency training to all members of the workforce in the borough.

The training delivers requirements in accordance with the Safeguarding Adults - Procedures for South Yorkshire. The multi-agency training offered through the DSAB should complement single agency training and other learning opportunities provided by organisations for the benefit of their staff.

Anyone attending our safeguarding adults training can expect to receive high-quality training that is:

  • based on current, evidence-based knowledge and research
  • promotes a multi-agency approach
  • reflects anti-oppressive practice through its content and delivery.
  • clearly linked to roles and responsibilities.

Each training or educational session has a trainer or facilitator lead, and:

  • is planned and systematic
  • has a clear aim
  • is concerned with changing concepts, skills and attitudes of individuals and groups.
  • is aimed at improving performance and effectiveness in organisations by contributing to the development of a competent workforce.
  • has clear, demonstrable learning outcomes/objectives
  • can be evaluated using formal evaluation methods

Further events and specific training targeted at particular workers will be circulated throughout the year and advertised on these pages.

If you have any questions or want to discuss specific training needs, please contact us.
