For information regarding public highways within Doncaster and how to view the Highways Register.

Under section 36 of the highways act 1980 subsection (6) and (7) the council is obliged to keep a list of all streets within the borough which are adopted road and highways. This list also includes all Public Rights of Way.  The term ‘adopted’ is used to describe a road that is maintained at public expense.

See attachment ‘downloads and resources’ for the list of streets.

The list of streets is continually being updated as new streets are adopted. If you believe there are any errors or that any street is missing from the list, please contact the highways team via email at Network.Management@Doncaster.gov.uk . Newly built streets are not on the list until any formal adoption process that may be in place is completed.

Please note, we do not have a duty to maintain a list of private streets.
