New or additional box request
What is this for?
To request a new, replacement or additional green box for the following:
- you are about to move or have moved into a house that does not have a green box
- your box has been damaged, lost or stolen
- you regularly have a large amount of glass bottles and jars suitable for our kerbside recycling service
What is it going to cost?
There is no charge for additional, replacement, damaged, lost or stolen boxes.
What we need from you
When requesting a new, replacement or an additional box you will need to provide us with the following information:
- your name, address, telephone number
- the number of boxes required
Please note: the property should be occupied, boxes are not delivered to empty properties. All containers remain the property of the council.

You should make sure you read and understand the Waste and Recycling - privacy notice, which sets out what you need to know about how we will use your information in the course of our work as a Waste Collection Authority.
What you should expect from us
When you submit this form the collection contractor will be informed of the request. New, replacement or additional boxes will be delivered within one week of your request. Sometimes delays of one more than one week could be experienced. Should you have not received a new, replacement or additional box you can present your recyclable items in a sturdy box, ensuring it is secure and contained and it is clear that the item has been presented for recycling.
Materials presented in a black bin liners will not be collected.
