Street Trading
Doncaster Council Licensing Department do not issue licences for street trading. There is a list of streets in the Doncaster area which are designated as PROHIBITED. This means that street trading is ILLEGAL and is therefore NOT permitted.

Additional Information
Street trading is defined as the selling or offering for sale of any article in the street.
This includes food such as burgers, kebabs, doughnuts etc or other things such as household items or novelty items.
If you wish to:
- trade as a peddler you need a licence issued by a police authority.
- trade as a market trader operating at a licensed market venue you will need to contact Doncaster Council Markets Team.
- trade as a news vendor selling only newspapers and periodicals, permission may not be required.
- trade on private land, consent may not be required. The landowner may need planning permission. Contact the Council's planning office for advice.
