Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)
This one-day training course (previously called appointed persons) will help you meet your regulatory requirements if your risk assessment indicates that first aid training covering emergency protocols only, is sufficient for your workplace.
Who should attend?
This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.
The training is available to individual candidates or can be delivered on a business premises to a group of a maximum of 12 employees. We do not usually offer this course on a regular basis so please register your interest by contacting us on the Telephone number below.
Course Content
- Responsibilities of the First Aider
- Assessing an incident
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- The Respiratory System
- Wounds and Bleeding
- Shock
- Seizures
- Dealing with minor injuries
- Other Injuries
Duration
The course takes approximately 7 hours 30 minutes, including refreshment breaks.
Assessment/Qualification
This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test and on successful completion of the course the delegates will receive the nationally recognised Highfield Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid (RQF)
