There is an environmental health officer available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To report an emergency contact 01302 341628.

This is because we recognise environmental health problems involving serious events, fatalities, imminent risks to health or acute pollution of the environment don't always occur during office hours.

Although each call is an emergency to the caller, the majority received can be dealt with by advice or referral to a more appropriate service. However the duty officer will always be available and will visit to take the necessary enforcement action.
