About Public Health
The council is responsible for a number of public health functions:
The role of Public Health
During the COVID-19 outbreak, the role of the public health team is to lead and coordinate the local response.
This involves working closely with our local and national NHS colleagues and Public Health England to ensure that local people know what’s happening and what they can do to protect themselves, their families and communities.
The public health team will ensure that local people have access accurate, authoritative and up to-date source of information and advice on COVID-19.
Public health coordinates efforts of local multi-agency in preparation for, and response related to COVID-19.
Take a look through the Public Health Annual Reports.
