DiAL aims to raise awareness of disability issues in order to influence change and empower and enable people with disabilities to live a more independent life. It provides an easily accessible information and advisory service for people who live in the borough.

6. Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
The Trust serves a population of 410,000 in Bassetlaw and Doncaster and employs over 5500 staff on five hospital sites, including:
- Bassetlaw Hospital
- Worksop, Doncaster Royal Infirmary (DRI)
- Montagu Hospital
- outpatient services are provided at Retford Hospital
- elderly rehabilitation services at Tickhill Road Hospital

PALS is a free and confidential NHS service offering information on local health services available and how you can obtain them, including:
- waiting times for NHS treatment
- diseases
- conditions and treatments
- local and national self-help groups
- patient's rights and the standards to expect
- maintaining and improving your health

8. Vaccinations
Before jetting off on holiday or on a business trip it is worth taking a few moments to consider that travelling around the world always brings with it some risks to health.
Vaccinations are required when travelling to certain countries, the number and type of immunisations vary from country to country.
Your GP should be able to give you advice and administer vaccinations or refer you to someone who can. Please contact your Doctor at least 6-8 weeks prior to travelling to discuss your requirements.
