Childcare Sustainability Toolkit
The Childcare Sustainability Toolkit provides a collection of resources, tools and information to support childcare providers and schools in maintaining a sustainable business model. In addition to these resources providers and schools can also access an initial self evaluation survey to identify key areas for development, following this an optional 1:1 targeted action planning meeting can be accessed. Sources of income for early years providers
Early Years Investment Fund
The Early Years Investment Fund (EYIF) will make grant and loan financing available to new and existing private, voluntary, independent childcare providers (PVI providers). This will support them to expand and create places for 30 hours provision.

Childcare Business Grants
This scheme is intended to reimburse you for the costs of setting up your childcare business. The scheme is only open to newly registered businesses. From 1 May 2017 a newly registered business is one that has been registered with Ofsted or a CMA within the last 3 months.
There are three types of grants available.
- A £500 grant for an early years childminder or childcare provider on domestic premises
- A £1,000 grant for an early years childminder or childcare provider on domestic premises of children with special educational needs and disability (SEN/D)
- A £1,000 grant for a Childminder Agency (CMA).
