Sub-contracting of funding
Adult Family & Community Learning (AFCL) commissions local voluntary and community sector organisations to deliver learning opportunities for residents of disadvantaged neighbourhoods that add value to the range and mix of provision currently available via AFCL and across the Borough.
Funding is secured as part of the Adult Education Budget devolved via South Yorkshire Mayoral combined Authority (SYMCA) delivered by Doncaster AFCL. It is administered through a steering group of the AFCL service and the Council’s commissioning team. They agree priorities each year by considering the Borough strategy targets, local health and employment data and community needs.
Applications
Organisations are able to apply each summer for project delivery in the next academic year, normally 1 August – 31 July.
