You’ll use your skills to work as part of a team who provides a warm, caring, enabling environment designed to meet the emotional, social and physical needs of looked after children and young people.

It is a job where your personal qualities matter – such as a caring nature, patience, resilience and ability to work as part of a team who are changing lives. You don’t need to have worked in residential care before, as we will provide full professional training. You’ll need to demonstrate how your previous experiences will help you with working young people. You will need to advocate for children and demonstrate ‘a good parent role’.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and resilience to work within a rota that includes weekends and unsocial hours.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
