Short Breaks Capital Grant Fund 2024/25

We are pleased to announce the return and launch of the Short Breaks Capital Grant Fund 2024/2025.

Our aim is to make Doncaster the most Child Friendly Borough in the Country, ensuring it is a safe, happy, healthy, connected, and inclusive place for all children and young people, particularly those with SEND. The purpose of this funding is to enhance our Local Offer by funding works or equipment purchases that will support local organisations to provide regular, inclusive activities for children and young people with SEND.

Eligible applicants include Voluntary Community and Faith organisations, Charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), and private companies providing activities for the target group within the City of Doncaster. This funding may also support providers, if they aren’t already, to become a preferred provider on the Short Breaks framework.

Funding Overview

Doncaster Council has allocated funding with a maximum of £5,000 per organisation.
Funding is for capital/equipment purchases which will enhance the local offer and help your organisation engage with more Children & Young People with SEND.
The Application Deadline is 23:59pm on Wednesday 05th February 2025. Please ensure all documents on the application checklist are submitted with the application, if there are any missing the application cannot be considered.
All funds must be spent by 31st March 2025. Equipment purchased must be maintained in working order and utilised for the benefit of children with SEND.
Activities utilising this equipment must be published on the Local Offer by 30th June 2025.
