Young people with disabilities are encouraged to access all of our clubs. All of our clubs have disabled access and toilets, with activities and provision that all young people can take part in. We understand, however, that some disabled young people prefer to meet together. To enable this, there are additional needs youth clubs.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Groups

We support SEND Young people to have a fun time and make new friends.

We currently deliver a Family Cook & Eat session. This is a 6 weeks block booking were families who have a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities can attend and create healthy recipes together.

This sessions provides a safe place to meet new friends whilst learning essential life skills.

The youth workers will support you through fun activities, opportunities and learning. We provide a service for you that will listen, support and empower you to succeed.

The Cook and Eat sessions are FREE for all children, young people and families to attend.

Some young people may require 1:1 (or more) support. As we run the session with volunteers, we ask that if 1:1 support is needed, that the adult responsible stays with the young person during the session.

Where can I access a SEND Group?

The cook and eat sessions currently run every Friday at:

Bentley MyPlace Youth Hub, Askern Road, Bentley, DN5 0HU
