Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC)
City of Doncaster Council has started to receive requests for information concerning school buildings suspected of containing Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC).
This is expected given the recent media coverage therefore we have gathered the following information in relation to this subject. With regard to the schools City of Doncaster Council has responsibility for, stage 1a and 1b visual surveys have been undertaken, in accordance with guidance set out by the Department for Education (DfE) and in the document below.

Of those surveys four schools were identified as having suspected RAAC material which were required to progress to a stage 2 survey conducted by a Structural Engineer with the overall result being that these school buildings do not contain this material.
