Education and Skills Strategy 2030

Underpinning all we do is the Education & Skills Strategy 2030. This is the Team Doncaster partnership strategy for lifelong learning and sets out a vision for the future for Equitable and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All. It consists of five priority areas for action, a set of delivery principles, and a transformational blueprint called the Talent and Innovation Ecosystem.

The Talent & Innovation Ecosystem model aims to move the focus away from purely formal education to lifelong learning; aiming to provide learners of all ages with varied and continued opportunities to develop both their skills, both formal and informal, as well as conceptual and practical knowledge that will allow them to flourish in life and work. The model is about bringing the worlds of business, education and skills closer together, whilst aligning with the economic development strategy.

At this stage there are four industry-focussed centres of excellence: Health & Care, Engineering, Creative & Digital, and Green Technology.
