Who are the Young Commissioners?

Young Commissioners are a group of young people who help shape and improve services for children and young people in Doncaster. They follow the commissioning cycle, ensuring services meet real needs.

Have pupils at your school in mind? We’re looking for new members! 

As a Young Commissioner, you can:

  • Represent young people – Share your views and make a difference
  • Work together – Collaborate with others and the council
  • Shape services – Help design and improve community support

What do Young Commissioners do?

Recently, they played a key role in the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme, supporting Doncaster’s vision to be the most Child Friendly Borough. This group of young people are vital in making and by giving young people a voice and an opportunity to shape our services following the Choose Kindness initiative.

Our current Young Commissioners continue to be involved in the Holiday and Food Programme (HAF) process following the commissioning cycle. Check out their video below to find out more about what they did:
