S.M.I.L.E. Horticulture Learning Centre for Adults receives UKSPF Funding

City of Doncaster Council S.M.I.L.E Horticulture Learning Centre for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism have received £909.97 through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

This funding is part of:

  • UKSPF-funded Remake Learning grants to develop new and engaging learning activities for individuals with learning disabilities and autism, to encourage engagement with the existing Doncaster skills and employment offer.
  • The Re-imagining Learning Spaces fund that invites Doncaster-based learning providers, museums, libraries, community spaces, and employer organisations to reimagine, redesign, and remake their physical and digital spaces in a way that enables different forms of learning to take place.

As part of the UKSPF-funded Remake Learning grant S.M.I.L.E Horticulture Learning Centre are hosting activities from January to March aiding in the Council’s focus to drive up demand and engagement with the existing Doncaster skills and employment offer, as well as to enhance and accelerate innovation in the local skills offer itself. If these activities are successful, the Centre hopes to become a potential host for the Doncaster Remake Learning Days Festival in the future  (Remake Learning Days Doncaster - City of Doncaster Council).

Dates to note:

31st January 2025 Yorkshire Wildlife Trust bat box building activity 10am to 1.30pm

14th February 2025 Sow n’ grow activity 10am to 1.30pm

28th  March 2025 Sow n’ grow activity 10am to 1.30pm

All sessions are held at S.M.I.L.E Horticulture Learning Centre Village Street, Adwick-le-Street DN6 7AA and must be pre-booked in advance particpants are required to fill in a feedback form for funding purposes.
