School's Anti-Fraud, Bribery and Corruption Policy and Strategy
Schools are required to have in place a robust system of controls to safeguard themselves against fraudulent or improper use of public money and assets. Arrangements should both prevent malpractice and enable prompt detection should fraud or corruption occur. Formal arrangements are required for all schools and they must adopt or create policies and procedures to this effect. Doncaster Council publishes a model framework that can be adopted by schools or adapted to meet their needs (see below).
What is the Schools' Anti-Fraud Bribery and Corruption Policy/Strategy?
The Schools' Anti-Fraud, Bribery and Corruption policy and strategy form part of an Anti-Fraud, Bribery and Corruption framework which is a series of inter-related actions and procedures designed to prevent and detect fraud, bribery or corruption in schools.
Many of these actions and procedures are already in use by schools therefore, by adopting the policy and strategy the school will strengthen its anti-fraud, bribery and corruption arrangements.
The Schools' Anti-Fraud, Bribery and Corruption policy and strategy has been based on the Doncaster Council Anti-Fraud, Bribery and Corruption Policy and Strategy which was updated in 2015. This framework is now under review and will be re-released in May 2021.

The Schools Anti-Fraud Bribery and Corruption Strategy is part of the wider Doncaster Council Anti-Fraud, Bribery and Corruption Framework. More information on this can be found by accessing the Anti-Fraud, Bribery and Corruption pages of this website.
