The month long cycle baton relay involving over 1,000 pupils from 133 Yorkshire schools raced to its finish in Sir Nigel Gresley Square in Doncaster (Tuesday, 2 July).
We have many fantastic memories of when the Tour de Yorkshire came to Doncaster in 2016, 2018 and 2019.
On Saturday 30 April 2016, Doncaster played host to the globally-renowned cycling event the Tour de Yorkshire. Over one million people turned out to watch the Women’s race and Stage Two of the Men’s race with a large proportion of these people lining the 37 miles of the borough’s roads as the world's best cyclists raced through to the finish on Bennetthorpe.
Thank you to all our local businesses who entered this year’s Best Dressed Window competition to celebrate the return of the Tour de Yorkshire on Thursday 2nd May 2019.
