City of Doncaster Archives
City of Doncaster Archives is located on Chequer Road, in the building formerly occupied by Doncaster Museum. The site has been transformed over several years into a state of the art collections storage and research facility.
City of Doncaster Archives is open from 9.30am to 4.30pm Tuesday - Thursday by advance booking only.
Doncaster Local Studies services and resources can also be accessed from the site. Records held by Doncaster Archives and Local Studies Library include registers from the 90+ parishes of the archdeaconry of Doncaster, Doncaster Borough Charters from 1194 to 1836, electoral registers, local newspapers dating back to 1786, and many other resources for researching local and family history.
