Work Experience

Nothing beats real world experience, whether fresh out of school, college or university or looking to change career, work experience can provide the practical experience to accompany your theoretical knowledge.

Work experience is an opportunity for people to try out and gain exposure to real-life jobs in a work environment. These kinds of placements can provide insight and understanding of the world of work and develop a range of skills and knowledge that will be valuable in the future.

Work experience placements can also benefit those who, for whatever reason may have experienced barriers to entering the workplace, or those wanting to return to work after a period of unemployment.

At City of Doncaster Council we are proud to have been awarded a Gold accolade by quality standard organisation Fair Train for our work experience scheme.
