Location and opening times

Location:

• Sandall Beat Community Environment Centre is located in the middle of largely deciduous, urban fringe woodland of 64 hectares (157 acres) at the heart of Doncaster borough
• the woodland is a Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest
• it is the largest area of public greenspace available locally and one of the most significant in the borough
• the site’s grid reference is SE 614035

Play area:

• there is a large outdoor childrens play area opposite the centre, this is free of charge and open all year round

Bike hire

A range of bicycles are available for hire for children and young people with a disability, their friends and family members for a small fee of £1.90

Identification must be provided and bikes need to be booked 24 hours in advance.

• mountain bikes
• hand cycles
• tricycles with provision for bucket seat
• tandem tricycles
• adult bikes (non-disabled various sizes)
• children’s bikes (non-disabled various sizes)
• cycle helmets (various sizes)

Meeting room/classroom

We have a woodland meeting room on site, a great alternative to having a meeting in the office. Charges apply.
