Statement of Accounts

The Statement of Accounts shows, in financial terms, the performance of the council for the year indicated.

It is a statutory publication produced in accordance with legislative requirements and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting in the United kingdom - IFRS based.

The Statement of Accounts includes all the financial statements and disclosure notes required by statute and a brief financial review for each respective year.

The Summary document highlights the main points from the authority’s published accounts and its objective is to produce information that is easily understood by all.

Notification of the Appointment of External Auditors in Accordance with the Requirements of the Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Appointing Persons Regulations 2015.

Notice is hereby given in accordance with the Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Appointing Persons Regulations 2015, that:

(a)   the ‘appointing person’ (Public Sector Audit Appointments Ltd) has made an appointment of a local auditor to Doncaster Council;

(b)   the local auditor appointed by the appointing person is Grant Thornton UK LLP;

(c)    the period for which the local auditor has been appointed is 2018/19 to 2022/23 inclusive.
