Apprenticeship Support for Schools and Colleges

The Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge programme for schools and colleges (ASK) is funded by the Department of Education and delivered in the Doncaster area by Doncaster Council.

The programme offers a range of sessions to schools and colleges from pupils in Year 10-Year 13 to increase knowledge of apprenticeships and other technical qualifications. The sessions including apprenticeship awareness and application support and range in size from whole year assemblies to small targeted groupwork. There are also sessions for parents and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for teachers and advisors.

In addition, we also can attend careers fairs and options events to answer questions.

The South Yorkshire Apprenticeship Hub

This is a brand-new service supporting businesses and individuals to make more informed and better choices about apprenticeships within Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley.

Going to college or university are popular options for many people, but in a recent UCAS survey 3 out of 5 year 9-12 students were looking at apprenticeships as the first step in their career.
