Careers Hubs are a central part of the Government’s Careers Strategy and aims to support all secondary schools and Further Education providers to implement high-quality careers guidance to help young people make more informed decisions around their future choices.

What's the aim of the hub?

The South Yorkshire Careers Hub works in partnership with the Careers and Enterprise Company and the four Local Authorities; Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield, to connect with schools, colleges, training providers, employers and other partners in a meaningful way that will help support young people in the next steps in their educational journey and longer-term career aspirations.

The Hub provides training and support to both educators and employers and drives progress against the Gatsby Benchmarks to bridge the gap between education and employment. This includes leading on school engagement initiatives, such as:

Working with the network of Doncaster schools and employer volunteer groups since 2018, the local team coordinate a bespoke offer for all stakeholders. We warmly welcome all interested partners to explore how they can get involved in the South Yorkshire Careers Hub initiatives.
