• Trans Pennine Trail Improvements Consultation – York Road to Melton Road

  City of Doncaster Council has been successful in securing funding to deliver improvements to the Trans Pennine Trail between York Road and Melton Road. Funding has been obtained working alongside delivery partners Sustrans. The route forms part of a wider plan to create a network of walking and cycling infrastructure across Doncaster which will connect people to green space, transport hubs and areas of employment/education.

• Doncaster Supported Housing Improvement Programme

  The Supported Housing Improvement Programme (SHIP) is an England wide £20 million funding programme available from 2022-2025. The City of Doncaster Council was successful with its bid for funding and began operation of SHIP in mid-2023. SHIP focuses on three main areas of Supported Housing; Housing Benefits, Housing Standards and Support Review. The project aims to ensure supported housing provides safe and appropriate accommodation, delivers positive outcomes and provides value for money for the taxpayer.

  Doncaster Council do not offer as part of its standard street lighting service provision connections for festive lighting displays or attachments for banners. However the Council has no objections to applications for equipment to be considered for this purpose as long as the applicant follows the following steps and understands the on-going maintenance requirements which will need funding for the life of the installation.
