Local Offer - Get Involved
Doncaster are committed to co-producing the Local Offer with children, young people, families and partner agencies.
How can I get involved?
SEND Parent Carer Sessions
Doncaster Parents' Voice (DPV) are currently working closely with parents to ensure that the voices of parents are carers are heard in the local review of SEN strategy and services. You can find out more about DPV on our Information for Carers page.
If you would like to get involved in the sessions in the future, please contact Doncaster Parents' Voice on:
- Tel: 01302 637566
- Mob: 07917 690590
- Email: DPVoice@doncastercarers.org.uk
SEND: Young People Shadow Board
Our Young People's SEND Shadow Board are working to ensure that the voice of children and young people with SEND is heard and represented at the Local Area SEND Board and in the wider partnership. This group are looking to work with a wide range of young people within a range of settings in order to ensure that the local partnership priorities are the right ones for our children and young people.
The Board usually meets every six weeks at Doncaster Carers Centre. To find out when the next meeting is contact transformation.send@doncaster.gov.uk
Please note - children will need to make their own way to the meeting, either by themselves or with their parent/carer's assistance. Parents/carers are welcome to stay and chat to other parents/carers in another room whilst they wait for their child.
Co-production of the Local Offer
If you are a child, young person, or parent/carer of a child or young person, with special educational needs and/or disability (SEND), and would like to get involved in the co-production of the Local Offer, please contact Families Information Service by emailing LocalOffer@doncaster.gov.uk.
Doncaster's SEND Co-Production Charter sets out how families and professionals can listen to each other and work together in partnership to deliver better outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
